Two of the members, Kirk and Margaret Creswell reside in Southwick, MA, Kirk providing lead vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica as well as the Texas influence. Margaret plays stand up and electric bass and provides lead and harmony vocals. Mike Ingram, from West Hartford, CT plays lead guitar and sings lead, harmony and gives the New England touch . Mike Parziale from Northampton plays keyboards and sings lead and harmony. The band uses the services of three drummers who we use as schedules permit.
The Resurrection Airmen also perform in a semi acoustic format without drums for smaller venues, and add pedal steel guitar and/or fiddle for larger performances. For a list of some of the artists we cover please see the information below below regarding "Tribute to the Stars of Nashville".
Kirk, Mike Ingram and Margaret write the original music for the Airmen. The band will release a compilation of ten original songs in digital and CD formats entitled Texas State Of Mind early in the summer of 2014.
The Airmen perform in a variety of venues such as restaurants, as well as in clubs and bars. Recent bookings include Opa Opa Steak House and Brewery, Brew Too, Listons, and the Delaney House. We also perform at cultural events, agricultural fairs and private events.
In addition to traditional performance venues we offer a two hour show called A Tribute to the Stars of Nashville during which we perform music from country greats such as Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Bob Wills, George Strait, Josh Turner, The Mavericks, Garth Brooks and many others. We cover tunes from 1950 to more recent hits. We recount the stories behind many of the songs and the artists that made them great.
